Heating Ventilation and Airconditioning (HVAC) -
(season 1) - Serial 1
in these groups of sessions, we are going to discuss some technical fundamentals regarding the HVAC industry as one of many disciplines that a Mechanical Engineer could be specialized at.
well as a start we are going to discuss the heating plans, the ventilation plans, combined with the Air conditioning, all of these from a practical side view built upon the experience of execution in many sites all over the world,
The very important rule is " Cold doesn't Really Exist, But actually Cold is the absence of Heat "
which means that we can control the source of heat in order to recover either by increasing or decreasing, It needs to be calculated first within the area concerned to be treated, this calculation for the source of heat is called "Load Calculation" should happen in the very early beginning as a first step in the design, there are two sources of Heating Loads :
- External Source :
means any source of heat located outside the boundaries of the concerned area such as solar heat gain or loss coming from the sun, rooms located beside generators or boilers ...etc.
2. Internal Source :
means any source of heat located inside the boundaries of the concerned area such as a light source, infiltration, oven, boiler, and even human beings can be considered as a source for emitting Heat
the following is SMACNA For Duct Construction (Show files)
this Guide is showing how to construct and select a good size for duct line, preventing high cost, high static pressure, Noise and providing high quality work
